Science Education
Teaching and Outreach
Tropicarium Park has always been committed to providing exciting adventures for young and old alike, taking its guests on a journey of discovery of animals from around the world. You will dive into the deep seas and then ascend into the warmer forests, discovering the secrets and beauty of the animal kingdom.
As a Zoological Park recognized by the Ministry of the Environment, our primary purpose is also scientific outreach, which is rooted in making tomorrow’s adults aware of the respect and conservation of all life forms.
Therefore, we want to be a point of reference for all teachers who would like to include a visit to the park in the Educational Offer Plan. Here, thanks to our guides, students will be taken on a journey into the animal kingdom, an opportunity to learn some concepts of the biology and behavior of these life forms, appropriately adapted to the required educational level. By closely observing such beauties of nature, students will be sensitized regarding the problems of animal conservation and their habitats, providing curiosity and arousing interest.
Our Mission.
Tropicarium Park has been working for years to educate and raise awareness of animals and the preservation of the environment around us.
In fact, our “mission” is to:
- Bringing young and old closer to the knowledge and respect of animals
- Raise awareness of issues related to biodiversity conservation, including Invasive Alien Species
- Create educational projects and activities for pupils at all levels of education, from the youngest kindergarteners to the most trained university students
- Contribute to the preservation of species, some of them endangered, by preserving their genetic heritage and promoting their reproduction
- Support projects to safeguard species in their natural environments
- Collaborate with other associations, including WWF, to better disseminate our knowledge
In fact, the Park is not only meant to be a source of fun and attraction for our guests, but more importantly a space to popularize the beauty and importance of conservation of the animal kingdom and the environment.
